We’ll have to wait and see what software tweaks might come with the arrival of the Fitbit Sense 2 and the Fitbit Versa 4. For the time being, you need a third-party app to sync your stats from Fitbit to Google Fit – that’s strange considering the companies are now working together. The current Fitbit smartwatches don’t run Wear OS, and it doesn’t look as though the new ones will either.

Perhaps the most notable shift is the introduction of physical buttons to replace the capacitive ones built into the casing – the latter can help in terms of keeping the size of the device down, but they are also more difficult to operate on the wrist.
We’re expecting the wearables to be officially unveiled any day now.
